Alex Smith Garden Design, Ltd. projects start within the design studio as a collaborative effort merging together the skills of architecture, landscape architecture and art. Designs often start with a combination of plans and perspective renderings to not only illustrate our vision for our clients but also to help the entire team to understand the passion behind the project. The team firmly believes the landscape and architecture are extensions of one another and believe they should be practiced together. We work together with many of the area’s finest architects to complete their visions as well as provide our own design services for homes, out structures and hardscapes when appropriate.
Installation

The design team at Alex Smith Garden Design, Ltd. is directly involved in every facet of the installation. From hand-picking all plant materials to approving hardscape details; we take great pride in successfully executing every aspect of our projects. We believe in excellent communication with our clients as well as with our own staff and fine group of sub-contractors. Soil preparation, grading, drainage work, selection of appropriate materials, irrigation and lighting are a few of the many aspects that are given special attention through the design and installation phases of each of our projects.
Maintenance
In many ways the maintenance of a garden or landscape is equally as important as a beautifully designed and properly executed garden. Alex has personally trained a group of skilled gardeners that make up our maintenance staff. Our reputation for sound horticultural care practices is unparalleled in the industry.
